This course is designed to build on the skills that you developed in previous research methods courses that focused on conducting scientific research, data analysis and inference, specifically those learned in Applied Research Methods course. This course focuses on 1) improving students’ understanding of, and ability to apply scientific research methods and 2) familiarize students with the process of preparing a scientific research report to be published in scientific journals or presented at academic conferences. The focus will be primarily on topics related to social emotional development and competence of young children and adult behaviors that support or hinder such development
